강릉농악 지도방안 연구 : 초등학생을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

국악은 우리가 지켜야할 자존심이다. 빠르게 변해가는 시대의 흐름 속에서도 우리 음악은 우리가 지켜나가야 할 문화적 자산이다.
본 연구는 중요 무형문화재 11-4호로지정이 된 강릉농악을 보존 전승함에 있어 귀중한 문화유산임에도 불구하고 세계의 다양한 문화와 화려하게 변모해가는 현대음악에 밀려 전승이 끈길 위기에 처해있음으로 토속음악의 소중함과 두레음악이 우리에게 전해주는 교육적 효과를 풍물놀이로서 함께 느끼고 체험함으로 국악의 소중함을 일깨워 주었다.
첫째로 강릉농악은 외가락 위주에 빠른 템포로 반복되는 가락으로서 관객과 하나의 장을 만들기가 쉽고 장단이 크게 어렵지 않아 아이들이 쉽게 익힐 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한 강릉농악은 농사풀이 과정을 춤으로 표현하여 농사짓는 과정을 재현하여 보임으로 지금은 찾아보기 힘든 두레의 교육적인 효과를 일깨워 줄 수 있다. 일제의 탄압 속에서도 강릉농악의 역사는 이어져왔고 강릉농악 어린이 농악 경연대회가 이십년을 가까이 치러왔음에도 불구하고 아쉽게도 참가하는 학교의 수가 점점 줄어드는 안타까운 실정이므로 아이들이 풍물놀이를 재미있게 놀이로서 습득하여 흥미를 유발하게 만드는데 목적이 두었다.
둘째로 지금까지 이어온 구전심수의 교육방법과 새로운 방식의 악보와 구음을 접목시켜 입소리 따라하기, 손으로 장단치기, 구음하며 악기쳐보기, 장단에 맞춰 노랫말 만들기, 오금질하기, 장단에 맞춰 걸어보기, 뛰어보기, 등 교육방법을 놀이화하여 지도함으로서 아이들이 잘하기를 기대하기보다 흥미를 유발하여 다시하고 싶은 풍물놀이가 되도록 하고자 하였다.
그리고 너무 길어서 지루해하는 전 과정에서 풍물놀이로 간단하게 재구성하여 시대적 배경에 맞추어 진 풀이를 각색하였다. 강릉농악의 가장 특징적인 농사풀이를 전혀 배제 할 수 없으므로 몆 개의 과정만을 담고 진 풀이를 정리 하였다.화려하게 무대화된 사물놀이가 세계 속에 우뚝 서게 된 것도 뒤의 배경에는 풍물이 적지 않게 기여하고 있음이다. 향토성 짙은 토속적 두레농악은 현대를 살아가는 이들에게는 더불어 사는 세상이라는 교육적 효과를 확실하게 심어주는 디딤돌 역할을 하게한다. 본 연구를 기반으로 지역풍물이 지역민들에게 사랑받고 관계자들에게 관심의 대상이 되어 학생들에게도 소중한 문화유산으로 남겨지길 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korean music is our pride that must be upheld. Korean music is a cultural asset we must look after in the quickly changing stream of times.
Designated as No. 11-4 important intangible cultural asset, Gangneung Farmer’s Music is an important cultural asset that must be preserved and passed down, but its transmission is endangered by losing out to the diversified culture of the world and gorgeously changing modern music. In this vein, this study called attention to the importance of Korean music by making study subjects feel and experience the value of folk songs and the educational effects of dure music, via pungmul plays.
First, Gangneung Farmer’s Music, which mainly consisted of single repeated garak of quick tempo, is easily accepted by audience, thus creating an amusing festivity scene with them, and has easy jangdans, thus having the advantage point of being able to be learned by children easily. In addition, expressing the course of farming puri with dance, it reproduces the course of farming and therefore, has dure’s educational effects that are scarce for the present. Even under Japanese oppression, the history of Gangneung Farmer’s Music did not discontinue and children’s Gangneung Farmer’s Music contest has been held for nearly 20 years. However, the number of participating schools has decreased gradually and regrettably. In this vein, this study aimed to make children learn pungmul play as a joyful play and take interest in it.
Second, by grafting its conventional method of education, namely oral and memory-oriented transmission, onto new musical scores and oral sounds, and by teaching it through such educational methods as copying oral sounds, beating jangdans with hands, playing musical instruments while making oral sounds, making lyrics according to jangdans, bending knees, walking to jangdans and leaping, this study tried to make children take interest in it and want to try it, rather than expecting they perform it well.
In addition, the whole proceeding of jin puri was lengthy and tedious, it was reorganized as a simple pungmul play and adapted to the time setting of today. Since it was impossible to rule out the most unique farming puri of Gangneung Farmer’s Music, a few parts were included and jin puri was adjusted. Gorgeously theatricalized samulnori (Korean traditional percussion quartet) considerably owes its distinction to pungmul in its background. The folksy dure farmer’s music of rich local color plays the role of a stepping stone in clearly implanting such educational effects that we must live together. The investigator hopes this study is an opportunity for regional pungmuls to be loved by local residents, interested by concerned people, and handed down to students as a valuable cultural asset.
