The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the field of design, challenging traditional human-centered approaches. This study examines the evolving role of AI in design within the framework of post-humanism, where the boundaries between humans and technology continue to blur. By analyzing AI-driven design tools and their impact on designers' cognitive processes, this research explores how decision-making, creativity, and authorship are being redefined. Findings indicate that AI augments design ideation by offering diverse possibilities, yet designers remain central in making critical aesthetic and conceptual choices. The study suggests that rather than replacing human designers, AI serves as a collaborative partner that enhances efficiency and expands creative potential. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of AI’s role in the design industry and provide a foundation for future research on AI-human collaboration in creative fields.
