대학생의 관광산업분야 직업평가에 관한 연구 = Research Articles : Undergraduates` Occupation-Appraisal: Focus on Tourism Industry

This study has investigated university students` evaluation of their prospective occupation, using the concept of job-esteem. The result of the empirical findings are as follows; First the students` level of job-esteem toward the tourism-related occupation appears to be the highest from flight attendant, tourism business, and to the lowest in restaurant business (including hotel industry, casino dealer, etc.). This result points out that occupations, which require more professional knowledge and socially efficient, presents higher job-esteem among the students. Second, having analyzed the students` recognition in entrepreneurial business, we have found that job-esteem in self-employed types(e.g. travel agency, restaurant owner) is higher than in employed types of occupation. This indicates a growing interest among the university/college students toward their entrepreneurial business.
