장애대학생에 대한 대학생의 태도 = A Study on Tendency & Influencing Factors of the University Students' Attitudes toward the University Students with Disabilities

This study has been conducted for two major purposes; (1) an investigation of the normal university students' attitude toward the disabled university students including an emotional attitude, a cognitive attitude, and a behavioral attitude, and (2) an analysis of influencing factors of the students' attitude toward the disabled university students including demographic factor, contacting experience factor, knowledge factor and religious factor.
This study aims at proposing basic materials to establish the educational policies and at encouraging the disabled students in a successful social integration.
The survey was conducted for 582 students enrolling at 10 universities and the statistical factor analysis was performed with a regression analysis by SPSS Win 12.0. The results are summarized as follows:
First, the normal university students' attitude toward the disabled university students turned out to be a medium level in the areas an emotional attitude, a cognitive attitude, and a behavioral attitude.
Second, the attitudes are varied depending on whether or not the students under the survey are enrolling in the social welfare and the special education related departments or the students under the survey have taken any lecture associated the special education.
These results suggest a need for a focussing on an emotional attitude which can influence on the other attitude and can be a basis of the relevant attitudes, and a review of an approaching method that encourages the students to take the special education related lectures and to do the public welfare works.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 장애대학생에 대한 대학생의 태도를 조사하기 위해 태도의 기저요인으로 널리 인정되고 있는 태도의 3성분 이론(Rosenberg & Hovland, 1960)에 근거하여 척도를 구성하고 그 경향과 영향요인을 분석하였다. 장애대학생을 위한 특별 전형 제도를 실시하고 있는 전국 10개 대학에 재적하는 대학생 남·여 582명을 대상으로 설문조사하고, 통계적 분석을 통해 얻어진 주된 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 대학생의 장애대학생에 대한 태도는 3개의 태도 영역에서 대체로 중립적 수준으로 나타났으나, 인지적 태도, 행동적 태도, 감정적 태도 순으로 긍정적인 경향을 보였다.
둘째, 장애대학생에 대한 대학생의 태도는 특수교육이나 사회복지과와 같은 관련 학과에의 재적 유무, 장애관련 봉사 활동 경험 및 봉사활동 기간, 그리고 특수교육관련 수강 경험 유무 등이 중요한 영향 요인으로 밝혀졌다.
이상의 결과는 태도의 기반이자 타 태도 영역에 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있다고 하는 감정적 태도에 초점을 두면서, 특수교육관련 학점 이수 및 장애관련 봉사 활동 등을 활용한 태도 개선 방법을 이들 대학생에게 적용하고, 그 효과를 검토할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
