This experiment was conducted to investigate the relationship between the percentage of fat to solids-not-fat and total solids in normal milk with 708 samples. The results were summarized as follows;
1. The average percentages of fat and solids-not-fat was 3.43 and 8.40 respectively.
2. The slope of the line, solids-not-fat divided by fat, was 0.3 to 0.4 percent, where the increase rate of fat(%) was equal to 1; that was a change in fat of 1 percent is accompanied by a change in solids-not-fat of 0.3 to 0.4 percent.
3. Correlation coefficiency between the increase ratio of fat and solids-not-fat was +0.200, and correlation coefficiency, or that between the increase rate of fat and total solids was +0.740.
4. The ratio of change of the fat percent (X) to solids-not-fat percent (Y) was expressed as Y = 0.340X + 7.233 showing a linear relation, and that between the fat percent (x) and total solids percent (y) was expressed as y= 1.709x + 5.899.
