과학영재교육원 수료자 실태 분석과 진로지도 방안연구. : 제주대학교 과학영재교육원 수학반 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 창의적인 인재육성을 목표로 수많은 영재교육이 이루어지고 있다. 영재들의 능력과 가능성은 이들의 특성에 맞는 적절한 교육을 받을 때에 발휘될 수 있다. 본 연구는 2000년도 설립되어 운영되고 있는 제주대학교 과학 영재교육원 수학반 학생들과 제주도 S여자 중학교의 1,2학년 심화반 학생들에 대한 학습 성향과 진로에 대한 인식 등을 비교⋅분석 하여 영재학생들의 진로지도에 대한 문제점들을 알아보고 보다나은 제주대학교 수학 영재교육의 발전방안을 모색하여 수학 영재교육이 체계적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 진로지도는 전 생애에 걸친 교육이다. 자기 탐색과 이해이며 나의 신체적 조건, 적성, 성격, 능력 등에 대하여 정확하게 알아야 한다. 특히 영재학생들은 다양한 분야에 보통 이상의 흥미와 능력을 나타내는 경우가 많아 어떤 진로, 직업을 선택하기 어렵다. 따라서 영재 진로지도는 영재의 재능과 적성을 정확히 파악하고 미래의 성취가능성을 타진하여 이루어져야 한다.
본 연구를 통하여 수학영재학교 학생들의 진로 지도의 목표 및 방향 설정에 도움을 주고자 노력 하였으며, 다음과 같은 연구 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
첫째, 일반 수학 심화 학생과 수학 영재 학생의 학습 성향을 분석하여 영재학생에게 좀 더 차별화된 교육의 필요성을 인식 시킨다.
둘째, 교사들이 영재학생의 진로지도에 대하여 좀 더 깊은 관심을 갖도록 하며, 이를 통하여 수학영재학교 학생들의 진로 지도의 목표 및 방향 설정을 돕는다. 셋째, 전문가들의 지속되는 연구를 통해 수학영재학교 학생들의 진로 설계 모형의 개발하여 수학 영재들의 올바른 성장과 요구에 필요한 교육 정책 및 지원 방안을 마련하는데 토대를 제공하려 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Many kinds of specific education for gifted students have been provided recently. Gifted students` talent can be shown very well if they receive education that is programmed according to their special qualities. This research is to help make the specific education for gifted children more systematic by figuring out the problems associated with academic and career counseling available for the gifted children through the comparison and analysis of the learning styles of students in S Middle school and Gifted Center of Jeju university.
Academic and career counseling is a "lifetime" education. Students must be precisely aware of their own physical condition, character, aptitude, and ability. Since the gifted students are interested in a wider variation of fields, they have difficulty choosing their careers. Therefore, Academic and career counseling for gifted students must be given after understanding each student`s aptitude and potential and then predicting their future chances of success.
I tried to help establish the goal and direction of academic and career counselling for students of Gifted Center, and got the following results below.
First, after analyzing learning inclinations of normal advanced students and gifted students, this research concludes that distinctive education is needed for the gifted students.
Second, this research will offer encouragement to teachers to have more interest in academic and career counseling for gifted students and to help establish the goal and direction of counseling for the students in Gifted Center.
Third, this research will provide a foundation to prepare educational policies and a support system for proper growth of the gifted students by developing a more systematic model for pursuing career.
