고등학생의 생태계에 대한 오개념 유형 = Research Articles : High School Students` Patterns of Ecological Conceptions

The present paper reports some of findings from a study of the ecological understanding of students. Students` ideas about major subject domain in ecology were elicited through a series of written tasks. The subject domains were basic ecological concepts, the cycling of matter and the energy flow. Responses of 198 high school students at each question were categorized with their conceptual differentiation and evaluated. The results showed that students were well known about the terms such as `primary producer`, `comsumer`, `decomposer` and `abiotic factor`, but not about their functions, particularly interaction between several ecological factors. The majority of pupils explained environmental factors` role by describing familiar patterns which included teleological and anthropomorphic reasoning.
