이 연구에서는 디지털새싹 캠프에 참여한 학생을 중심으로 사전-사후 검사를 통해 디지털 역량 변화를 분석 하였다. 또한, 디지털 역량은 선행 연구 결과를 토대로 디지털 소양, 데이터 소양, 인공지능 소양, 컴퓨팅 사고력 으로 구분하였다. 설문 데이터를 분석한 결과, 사전 검사에서는 읍면 지역 학생의 디지털 역량이 중소도시 학생 보다 낮게 나타났지만, 디지털새싹 캠프에 참여한 후에 실시한 사후 검사에서는 오히려 읍면 지역 학생의 디지 털 역량이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 차이는 디지털 소양, 데이터 소양, 인공지능 소양, 컴퓨팅 사고력 등 디지털 역량의 하위 영역에서도 모두 동일한 결과를 나타내었다. 따라서 디지털새싹 캠프는 읍면지역의 학생들에 게 소프트웨어‧인공지능 교육을 제공함으로써 디지털 역량을 향상시키고, 읍면지역과 중소도시 간의 디지털 격차를 해소하는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 판단된다.

This study analyzed changes in digital competencies through pre- and post-tests, focusing on students who participated in the Digital New Software.AI Camp. Based on previous research, digital competencies were cate- gorized into digital literacy, data literacy, AI literacy, and computational thinking. The analysis of survey data re- vealed that, in the pre-test, students from rural areas had lower digital competencies compared to students from medium-sized cities. However, the post-test conducted after participating in the Camp showed that students from rural areas exhibited higher digital competencies. This trend was consistent across all sub-domains of digital competencies, including digital literacy, data literacy, AI literacy, and computational thinking. Therefore, the Camp plays a crucial role in enhancing digital competencies and reducing the digital divide between rural areas and me- dium-sized cities by providing software and AI education to students in rural areas.
