This study investigated the settlement of soft ground caused by fill-loading. The S.C.P replacement ratio(a_(s)), range(S_(0)/B), and depth(h_(0)/H) were taken as variables. The conclusions are presented in the following.
(1) As a_(s), S_(0)/B, and h_(0)/H increases, the maximum settlement decreases. However, the maximum settlement is less in S_(0)/B than in as, and h_(0)/H.
(2) Changes in the maximum settlement are relatively great in the range of h_(0)/H = 0.2~0.6, but small in the case of h_(0)/H>0.6.
(3) The reducing rate becomes different when a_(s) = 30%, and S_(0)/B = 0.6.
(4) When a_(s) = 10%, the maximum settlement due to the increase in replacement depth reduces little relatively to other replacement ratios.
