텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 세계사 교과서의 중국 근현대사 서사 구조 분석 = A Text Mining-based Analysis of Modern Chinese History Narratives in World History Textbooks

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 세계사 교과서의 중국 근현대사 서사 구조를 분석하였다. 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 적용하여 세계사 교과서가 중국의 근현대사를 어떠한 서사적 틀로 구성하고 있는지 파악하고, 각 교과서 간의 유사점과 차이점을 밝히려는 것이다. 분석 대상은 2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 세계사 교과서 3종이다. 분석 절차는 텍스트 추출, 텍스트 전처리, 단어 빈도 분석, 의미 네트워크 분석, 서사 구조 해석의 단계로 구성하였다. 분석 결과, 세 교과서에서는 중국 근현대사의 정형화된 서사 구조가 나타났으나, 특정 사건이나 주체에 대한 강조 방식에서 차이를 보였다. 이는 권위 있는 역사 교재, 최근 연구 성과, 집필진의 시각 등이 복합적으로 작용한 결과였다. 본 연구는 교과서 연구의 새로운 방식을 제시한 것은 물론, 교과서 서사 구조를 이론과 현실 측면에서 함께 살폈다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

This study analyzes the narrative structure of modern Chinese history as presented in high school world history textbooks. By applying text mining techniques, this study aims to identify the narrative frameworks through which modern Chinese history is constructed, and to reveal similarities and differences among the textbooks. The analysis focuses on three textbooks developed under the 2022 revised history curriculum. The research procedure consists of five stages: text extraction, text preprocessing, word frequency analysis, semantic network analysis, and narrative structure interpretation. The results show that, while a standardized narrative structure of modern Chinese history is commonly observed across the textbooks, each text emphasizes particular events and historical agents differently. These differences reflect a complex interplay of factors, including the authority of textbook status, recent academic research, and the perspectives of the authors. This study not only presents a new methodological approach to textbook research, but also provides meaningful insights by examining the narrative structures of textbooks from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
