The purpose of this study is to evaluate shear strengthening effects of Reinforced Concrete beams with Carbon Fiber Sheets(CFS). We has proposal the dry reinforceing method with CFT in order to improve the constructability. The major variables are the shear reinforcement ratios, CFS strengthening ratios, the anchorage length of CFS, the epoxy injection and the type of reinforcing method. When it is designed by the method of capacity design with CFS, the improvement of stiffness is expected. However it is hard to expect sufficient ductility for a sudden collapsing on the part of existing wide crack and the corner of the beams. In case of the narrow cracked beams, with reinforceing enough anchorage length, the stiffness and ductility can be improved properly, otherwise ductility is insufficient. The result of the proposal seems to be similar capacity that of conventional method.
