This study conducted an empirical analysis to determine the influence of career barriers on career maturity in order to provide basic data for career counseling and guidance of college students majoring in cosmetology. The subjects of the survey were college students majoring in beauty at 2-year and 4-year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi region, and an online survey was conducted for 3 months from March 5, 2023 to June 5, 2023. As a result of the final analysis of a total of 344 copies, the career barriers recognized by college students majoring in cosmetology were 8: difficulties in interpersonal relationships, anxiety about the future, lack of interest, lack of self-clarity, economic difficulties, physical inferiority, lack of job information, and conflicts with others. Factors were derived. Three factors were derived for college students' career maturity: planning, independence, and certainty. Among the sub-factors of career barriers, lack of job information and economic difficulties had an impact on the sub-factors of career maturity, while lack of self-clarity, physical inferiority, conflict with others, and future anxiety showed partial influence. In this study, in the process of increasing the level of career maturity of college students majoring in cosmetology, it was found that career barriers act as an important variable for career preparation and career achievement tailored to one's needs.
