《搜神記》에 나타난 中國占卜信仰 = Chinese Divination Belief reflected in SouShenJi

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The divination actors emerged in SouShenJi are a variety of individuals, such as supernatural beings, taoists, hermits, diviners, shamans, druids, fortunetellers, WuZhu including the kings, the nobility and confucianists etc. This paper classifies the divination into prophecy, fortune telling, and dream interpretation, and reviewed the capacity of the actors, the contents of divination and their usage.
1. Prophecy(item 5): The supernatural beings and Taoists appeared in SouShenJi possess the capacity of curing any type of illness and control wind, rain and fire in the earth. They are endowed with the capacity of flying, summoning the souls of the dead and making any wish to be performed. They are also empowered to make predictions of coming events, such as flood disaster, drought, and conflagration. 2. Fortune-Telling(item 38): The main actors of the fortune-telling are, among others, Taoists, Confucianists, and shamans. They have power to call the souls of the dead persons and are able to arrange the meeting between the dead and the living. They are privileged to talk to the ghosts and bring dead horses back to life. They are especially capable of detecting sick area of one’s body and cure it. They have also aptitude for discovering the culprit, the lost objects and the best place to find things. They help the people to evade disasters. They are empowered to drive away curses and ghosts and particularly dedicated to cure diseases.
任台大3. Divination interpretation(item 6): The professional interpreter of dreams, the Kings, the nobility and the Taoists are the main actors of this area. They are able to see pregnancy and foresee lucky future of one’s career. They have also capacity of pointing out the way to win wealth and fame, and foretell death and longevity of a person.
