The flora of the studied area of Mangkeumbong in Wi-do Island were listed 102 taxa; 47 families, 79 genera, 87 species, 11 varieties and 4 forms. Based on the list of Korean endemic plants, 6 taxa (Carex okamotoi, Carpinus turczainovii for. coreana, Lespedeza maximowiczii for. tomentella, Indigofera koreana, Euonymus quelpaertensis and Weigela subsessilis) were recorded. Specific plant species by floral region were total 15 taxa (14.7% of all 102 taxa of vascular plants); 2 taxa (Callicarpa mollis and Mitchella undulata) in class Ⅲ, Cirsium schantarense in class Ⅱ; 12 taxa (Ophiopogon jaburan, Quercus variabilis, Celtis bindii var. heterophylla, Melandryum oldhamianum for. roseum, Dictamnus dasycarpus, Euscaphis japonica, Meliosma oldhamii, Grewia biloba var. parviflora, Eurya japonica, Vaccinium oldhami and Ardisia japonica) in class Ⅰ. A total of 4 plant communities in Mangkeumbong were classified to Pinus densiflora community, Pinus densiflora-Carpinus turczainovii for. coreana community, Pinus densiflora-Quercus serrata community, Carpinus turczainovii for. coreana community in Mangkeumbong in Wi-do Island.
