지속가능성과 포스트모더니즘의 탈구축 관점에서 본 미술가 이완의 작품 연구 = A Study of Lee Wan’s works focused on the Concept of deconstruction of postmodernism and sustainability

In general, Art is a contemporary record. It is not simply a dimension to record an aspect of the age, It is the social role of art that actively intervenes in the problems of the society and poses problems or direction in it. Sustainability is an important value that shows the active social role of contemporary art. Among the young artists who are actively active, I interpret the meaning of the deconstruction of postmodernism and the sustainability of contemporary art centered on Lee Wan's work. Lee Wan writes about the huge structure of our life including political, social, economic, and cultural issues. And he is making new meaning by constructing fragments of our everyday objects. From the standpoint of deconstruction of sustainability and postmodernism, I looked at the characteristics of artist Lee Wan in three aspects. First, in his formal sense, his work shows us the familiar expression form in a strange way. He is rebuilding in a form that denies the form of things we accept unilaterally and creates new meaning. Second, the concept of deconstruction is dismantled from the concept of objects that he uses as a material of his work, or dismisses the general public 's idea. Third, the relationship between sustainability and deconstruction can understand his work world in the nature of the artist 's active social participatory work. In the world of the same work where life and work are not separate, there is consistency to continuously share their thoughts with society. It is understood that Lee 's work is continuing to work on the formal aspects of the existing social system and the conceptual deconstruction. Among the various values to appreciate contemporary art, the work of Lee, who is seen as a viewpoint of deconstruction of sustainability and postmodernism, is meaningful.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

미술은 동시대의 기록이라고 말한다. 단순히 시대의 한 단면을 기록하는 차원이 아니라, 사회의 문제에 적극적으로 개입하며 그 안에서 문제제기를 하거나 방향을 제시하는 것이 미술이 가진 사회적 역할이다. 지속가능성은 현대 미술의 적극적인 사회적 역할을 보여주는 중요한 가치이다. 현재 활발히 활동하는 젊은 작가 중에서 이완의 작품을 중심으로 현대 미술의 지속가능성과 포스트모더니즘의 탈구축의 의미를 해석한다. 이완 작가는 자신의 작업에서 정치적, 사회적, 경제적, 문화 등 우리 삶의 전반에 걸친 거대한 구조에 대한 문제를 제기한다. 그리고 우리 일상의 오브젝트들을 파편적으로 구성함으로써 그 의미를 새롭게 구성해나가고 있다. 지속가능성과 포스트모더니즘의 탈구축 관점에서 작가 이완의 작품을 세 가지 측면에서 특징을 살펴보았다. 첫째는 형식적 면에서 그의 작품은 우리가 익숙해진 표현형식을 낯설음 방식으로 보여준다. 우리가 일방적으로 받아들이는 사물의 형식을 부정하고 새로운 의미를 만들어내는 형식으로 재구축하고 있다. 둘째는 탈구축의 관점을 개념적인 면에서 그는 작품의 재료로 사용하는 오브젝트의 개념을 해체하거나 일반적인 대중의 관념을 해체하고 있다. 셋째, 지속가능성과 탈구축의 관계는 작가의 적극적 사회 참여적 작업의 성격에서 그의 작품 세계를 이해할 수 있다. 삶과 작업이 분리되지 않은 동일한 작업의 세계에서 지속적으로 자신의 생각을 사회와 공유하려는 일관성이 나타난다. 이완의 작품은 기존의 사회체계에 문제를 제기하는 형식적인 면과 개념적인 탈구축의 작업을 지속적으로 해나가고 있음이 파악된다. 현대 미술을 평가하는 다양한 가치 중에서 지속가능성과 포스트모더니즘의 탈구축 관점으로 본 미술가 이완의 작품은 의미가 있다.
