전병훈 도덕철학연구 -전통과 현대의 관점에서- = The Study of Cheon, Byeong Hun`s Moral Philosophy-in the view of traditional and modern

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This writing is described in the view of tradition and modern about Cheon, Byeong Hun`s moral philosophy. Cheon, Byeong Hun is critically absorbing western philosophy especially like Kant`s ethics and additionally defending the East-Asian traditions of moral philosophy. He is getting into the penetration by deliberating not only East-Asian moral philosophy but also Kant`s moral philosophy. It is across the private desire and subjective judgement. It is the reason that he emphasized the concept “Tian” as the metaphysical basis which he can evaluate the morality in the phenomenal level. Cheon, Byeong Hun thought the moral is clearly founded upon our action, however, at the sametime upon principle that we`ve gotten from the heaven. The important thing is that the moral is thought just like private one in the point of being founded upon our action, but it is public because it is based on the heaven. In this point of view he was able to emphasize that at that time in the China the argument of the issue, that is, private moral and public moral were wrong. Liang, Qi-Chao`s opinion of the harmony of private moral and public moral implied finally contradiction and were concluded as the thought of utilitarianism. Of this, Cheon, Byeong Hun wanted to fundamentally aim this kind of the contradictional relationship by seting-up the basis of moral philosophy as the heaven of tracendence and apriorism. Right this point is relevant to an ideological characteristic that Cheon, Byeong Hun took possession in the East-Asian`s intelligence world of early 20 century.
