      This study surveyed the patient who gets cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy at first time to know the effect of health education on life quality through development of knowledge on chemotherapy.
      The survey objects was 20 of first chemotherapy patients and the survey was held from June 20th. 2007 to september 20th. 2007.
      The discrepancy of knowledge points between pre and post health education was regarded as an effect of health education, and the effect and life quality point was compared.
      The result is like below.
      1. the knowledge point on chemotherapy of cancer patient was very high after education, and also high in male group, religious person group, the group who possess attainments equal to or higher than high school graduate, and the group who have job (t=-4.351, p= .000).
      2. the average point of cancer chemotherapy patient`s life quality was very high after education (t=-2.521, p= .026).
      3. the knowledge point on chemotherapy and life quality average point had positive correlation, and had meaning as r= .214, p= .024.
      Above result is shown that health education has an effect on development of knowledge on chemotherapy and life quality, and exposes health education can be the nursing mediation method to promote cancer patient`s life quality.
