청대 接境 공간 시론 : 몽골과 중국의 경계선이자 변경선인 長城을 중심으로 = Attempt to discussion on Contact Zones during the Qing Dynasty : Focus on the Great walls as Boundary and Frontier line between China and Mongolia

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 학술적 가치에 비해 기존 연구가 부족했던 접경 공간인 청대 장성이 작동된 면모를 추적하여 그 대략적인 윤곽을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 필자는 강제성을 띤 의무사항 조항이 규정된 각종 『蒙古律例』와 『大淸律例』 및 그 해설서는 물론 이번원 관련 각종 칙례를 추적하여, 몽골과 중원을 구분 짓는 장성이 법률상의 경계선임을 입증하였다. 또한, 청대 장성일대에 팔기군과 녹영군의 군영설치와 병력배치를 추적하여, 청대 장성이 어떻게 활용되고 실제 어떻게 작동되었는지를 규명하였다. 마지막으로 청조 황제들의 만리장성 무용론과 장성부근 변경폐쇄론 및 변경부정론과 다르게, 청대 장성은 법률상 경계선이자 군사상 변경선이었고, 중원은 물론 몽골인에게 장성일대 변경은 넘나들지 말아야 할 금지선이었으며, 이곳의 관병들에게는 사수해서 단속해야할 저지선 등으로 청말까지 실제 작동하였음을 확인하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article studied on the operation of the Great Wall of the Qing Dynasty as the Contact Zones, which lacked existing research compared to its academic value, and presented a rough outline. To this end, I examined various editions of the Mongol Code(蒙古律例) and the Great Qing Legal Code(大淸律例) and its commentaries, as well as various regulations(則例) related to the Court of Colonial Affairs(理藩院), which stipulated the mandatory provisions separating China and Mongolia. I proved that the Great Wall, which separates Mongolia and China, is the legal boundary. In addition, through tracking the establishment of military bases and deployment of troops of the Eight Banners(八旗軍) and the Green Standard Army(綠營軍) surrounding the Great Wall of Qing Dynasty, I found out how the Great Wall during the Qing regin was utilized and how it was actually operated. Finally, unlike the useless theory of the Great Wall and the theory of Frontiers closure or frontiers negation by the Qing emperors, confirmed that the Great Wall during the Qing Dynasty had virtually operated until the end of the Qing as a legal boundary line and a military frontier line, and a prohibited line not to be crossed by Mongolian and Chinese, and a cordon which the soldiers here actually should defend and crack down on ordinary Chinese and Mongolian.
