중학생의 진로준비도에 영향을 미치는 특질 및 상태변인의 관계: 자아존중감, 성역할 고정관념 및 정신건강의 효과를 중심으로 = Impact of trait and state variables on middle school student's career preparation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년기 진로준비도에 영향을 미치는 심리학적 요인의 상호연관성을 두가지 특질변인(자아존중감과 성역할 고정관념)과 상태변인(우울과 스트레스)의 맥락에서 탐구하고자 실시되었다. 한국청소년패널 2차년도 데이터를 이용하여 3184명의 중학교 3년생을 대상으로 분석한 결과 낮은 자아존중감과 높은 성역할 고정관념은 정신건강 문제를 매개하여 진로준비도에 악영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 변인간의 경로에 있어선 두드러진 성차가 발견되었는데, 여자 청소년의 경우 특질변인이 진로준비도에 주는 직접효과가 유의미하여 간접매개 모형이 지지되었으나 남자 청소년은 특질변인이 정신건강 문제만을 매개하여 영향을 주는 완전매개 모형이 더 유용한 것으로 드러났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present study investigated interrelations between two trait variables (self-esteem and gender-role stereotype) and a state variable (mental health) in influencing middle school students' career preparation. Using the Korean Youth Panel Survey, results from 3184 middle school students revealed that different paths based on sex were suggested. For female, both direct and mediational effect were significant; Low self-esteem and high gender-role stereotype were associated with low career preparation level by mediating high mental health problems, and also by directly influencing low career preparation. On the other hand, full mediation model was more desirable for male students. Results from the present study implied that female students' psychological dynamics in career preparation may be more complicated than those of male counterparts.
