국채보상운동기념공원의 안내시스템에 대한 연구 = A Study on Gukchae reward movement memorial park

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

These days, a considerable number of memorial park became a 'abandoned park' which couldn't respond actively to changes in the city so failed behind or became a 'just park' to show a landscape which can't reflect the life of the city dwellers without being co-existed with city.
The memorial park should be the place for mourning firstly, and secondly, it should commemorate the history and it should be significant for a rest for citizens and tourists who visit the park rather than be only a place for a rest for city dwellers. But there is a phenomenon that has reverse function compared to this significance in modern city. One of the causes of this results can be seen that the insufficient understanding about the feature of memorial park by the characteristics in the city and the purpose of guidance system of memorial park.
The Gukchae reward movement memorial park as the subject of this study has appearance of 'just park' located in the center of the city but an appearance of memorial park. In spite of the place that treats commemoration of Gukchae reward movement as the important event historically, there are lack of space which realizes historical commemoration and the contents of guiding system of the formation which is not proper to the feature of ‘memorial park’ for the citizens and tourists.
The guidance system of memorial park should configure color, font, space, size etc. reasonably for the citizens to recognize accurately and easily, so that it will be recognized correctly with beautiful image and be used comfortably. In addition, the purpose of the guidance system of the memorial park is to be an important tool which supports the significance and features of memorial park and the atmosphere and face. But the guidance system of the Gukchae reward movement memorial park which should be improved in this study or the current guidance system of the memorial park lost meaning and feature of the memorial park, and the design, color and font of the general neighborhood park are applied regardless of the meaning of the memorial park, so the meaning and feature of the memorial park were lost, so there is not a sense of kinship with the memorial park but it gives just crude and coarse impression to citizens and tourists. Therefore, the feature of the memorial park in that area should be improved and it must be verified and conducted based on the specific and objective standard for being guidance system of the memorial park.
Thus, the expected effects of this study will be systematic change of guidance system of the memorial park firstly. The Gukchae reward movement memorial park will be reasonable for the purpose and aim and it will be a good opportunity to increase the qualitative value of the Gukchae reward movement memorial park through the new guidance system. In addition, the multifaceted study in the various fields related to memorial park should be conducted for the diversification of the design plan of memorial park in the future.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날의 기념공원 중 상당수는 도시의 변화에 능동적으로 대처하지 못하고 실패한 기념공원으로 도시에 적응하지 못하고 도태되어 ‘버려진 공원’ 이 되거나 혹은 도시와 공존하지 못하고 도시민의 삼을 반영하지 못하는 풍경 보여주기 식의 ‘그냥 공원’ 으로 도시에 자리 잡고 있기도 한다.
기념공원이 오로지 도시민의 휴식을 위한 장소로써 나아가고 있어야 하는 것이 아니라 첫째 추모를 위한 장소로서의 의미가 커지게 하고 둘째 역사를 기념해야 하며 마지막으로 기념공원을 방문한 시민들과 관광객들에게 휴식을 위한 의미를 가져야한다. 그러나 현대 도시에서는 기념공원의 이러한 중요도에 비해 상대적으로 기념공원의 기능을 다하지 못하거나 오히려 역기능을 가지는 현상을 볼 수 있다. 이러한 결과가 나온 이유의 하나로써 기념공원이 도시 속에서 가지는 특성과 기념공원 안내시스템의 목적이 기념공원의 특성에 대한 이해 부족에서 기인하였다고 볼 수 있다.
본 연구의 대상지인 국채보상운동기념공원은 기념공원이 아닌 도심 중앙에 위치한 ‘그냥공원’의 모습을 하고 있다. 국채보상운동의 기념을 역사적으로 중요한 사건을 다루는 장소임에 불구하고 역사적 기념성을 구현하는 공간의 부재와 ‘기념공원’이라는 성격에 부합되지 않는 형태의 안내시스템의 콘텐츠로 시민들과 관광객들에게 심어주고 있다.
기념공원의 안내시스템을 보았을 때 시민들이 정확하고 쉽게 인지하고 이용할 수 있도록 색상, 서체, 간격, 크기, 등을 합리적으로 구성하고, 정확하고 아름답게 인지하여 편리하게 이용할 수 있게 해야 된다. 또한, 기념공원 안내시스템의 목적은 기념공원의 의미와 특징을 뒷받침 해주는 중요한 도구이며 기념공원의 분위기와 얼굴이다. 하지만 본 연구에서의 개선해야할 국채보상운동기념공원의 안내시스템이나 현 기념공원 안내시스템은 기념공원의 의미와 특징을 잃어버린 채 기념공원이 아닌 일반 근린공원의 디자인과 색상과 서체를 적용하여 기념공원의 의미와 특징을 잃어버렸으며 기념공원과 동질감이 느껴지지 않고 조잡하고 난잡함 느낌을 시민들과 관광객들에게 부각 시켰다. 그리하여 그 지역의 기념공원에 특성을 살려 구체적이고 객관적인 기준에 의해 검토되고 실행되어 기념공원의 안내시스템이 되어야 한다.
그러므로 본 연구에 대한 기대 효과로는 우선 기념공원의 안내시스템이 체계적으로 바뀔 것 이다. 국채보상운동기념공원을 조성한 목적과 취지에 적합하도록 하고 새로운 안내시스템을 통하여 국채보상운동기념공원의 질적 가치를 높일 수 있는 좋은 계기라고 본다. 그리고 향후 기념공원 디자인방안의 다양화를 위해서 기념공원과 관련된 여러 분야에서의 다각적인 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.
