The purpose of this study was to explore models and practical procedures in school consulting supervision. As of September 2010, new school consulting supervision system was introduced in Korea while the traditional supervision system was abolished. At the level of regional office of education the practical guidelines and a manual depicting consulting supervision should be provided to stake-holders so they can actively participate in the new system. The findings were as follows: First, the general model of consulting supervision composed of three steps, preparation step, implementation step, and monitoring step. The implementation step includes diagnosis, alternatives exploration, and practice. Second, according to the size of office of education, three management-oriented models of consulting supervision were proposed; 1)the basic model for cities, 2) the large size model for metropolitan area, and 3) the small size model for rural area. In conclusion, the proposed models and practical procedures of consulting supervision would contribute to the school improvement reform in Korea.
