다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Ultimate Life, in other words, Destiny that frequently appeared on the literary criticism after the liberation on Kim, Dong-ri, is the term that embodied the primal unity of nature and human. This term is deeply influenced by the discourse of Life-ism of old days and by the neo-humanism of recent days. The romantic literature that Kim, Dong-ri had reinstated in the late 1930s, was based on the general understanding of western literature and on the closed inappreciation of the KAPF literature. It has only simplified the dilemma of modern literature by expediently recontextualizing ``Realism`` and ``Life-ims``. Two works of Kim, Dong-ri are worthy of notice in this context: one is A Shaman`s story that suggests alternative model of subjectivity through a shaman who intermediates between tradition and modern, mind and matter; the other is Liberation that not only establishes the legitimacy of rightist government but seeks for the compromise with pro-Japanese power. Especially, the main character`s utterances that spoke for the rightist at the ending of Liberation corresponds to the after-liberation version of the discourse of ``The Century of Fact`` that was widely distributed at the end of Japanese colonial era. Lee, Jang-woo`s saying that even if the current political situations are quite a result of ``accident``, we should take them as a ``solemn fact`` might be a unique ideological expression of liberation, but this stream became no longer unususal in the late 1930s. Therefore, the common idea needs to be revised that the fateful resignation that was described at Yukma (A Post Horse), the major work of Kim,Dong-ri, is the Korean national unique sentiment.
