성인애착이 대인불안에 미치는 영향 : 실패공포의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생이 경험하는 대인불안에 대해 이해를 넓히고자 하였다. 이에 성인애착이 대인불안에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보고, 성인애착과 대인불안의 관계에서 실패공포가 매개효과를 가지는지 검증하고자 하였다.

이를 위하여 만 18세 이상의 대학생 380명을 대상으로 성인애착, 대인불안, 실패공포에 대한 조사를 실시하였다. 결과 분석에는 SPSS 26.0을 사용하여 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 매개효과분석을 실시하였고, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다.

첫째, 성인애착, 대인불안, 실패공포의 각 변인 간의 상관관계는 유의미하였다.
둘째, 각 변인 간의 영향관계는 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 성인애착의 수준이 높을수록 대인불안이 높아지는 경향이 있으며, 성인애착 수준이 높을수록 실패공포도 높아지는 경향이 있다는 것을 의미한다. 성인애착의 하위 요인인 회피애착이 불안애착보다 실패공포를 더 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 실패공포의 수준이 높을수록 대인불안이 높아지는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 실패공포의 하위요인 중 수치와 당황에 대한 경험, 중요한 타인의 관심 상실, 불확실한 미래에 대한 공포가 대인불안과 더 밀접한 관련성을 갖는 것으로 확인되었다.
셋째, 성인애착이 대인불안에 미치는 영향에서 실패공포의 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 실패공포는 성인애착과 대인불안의 관계에서 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 성인애착이 대인불안에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것보다 성인애착이 실패공포에 영향을 미치고, 실패공포가 대인불안에 영향을 미칠 때 대인불안이 더욱 강해진다는 것을 의미한다.
끝으로 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구가 가지는 의의와 제한점, 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to broaden the understanding of interpersonal anxiety experienced by university students.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of adult attachment on interpersonal anxiety and to verify whether fear of failure has a mediating effect in the relationship between adult attachment and interpersonal anxiety.

A survey was conducted on adult attachment, interpersonal anxiety, and fear of failure targeting 380 college students over the age of 18. For the analysis of the results, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and mediating effect analysis were performed using SPSS 26.0, and the study results are as follows.

First, the correlation between each variable of adult attachment, interpersonal anxiety, and fear of failure was significant.
Second, the influence relationship between each variable was found to have a significant effect. This means that the higher the adult attachment level, the higher the interpersonal anxiety, and the higher the adult attachment level, the higher the fear of failure. It was found that attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety had an effect on fear of failure in that order. Also, it was found that the higher the level of fear of failure, the higher the interpersonal anxiety. Among the sub-factors of fear of failure, fear of losing the interest of important others, fear of experiencing shame and embarrassment, and fear of having an uncertain future were found to be more closely related to interpersonal anxiety.
Third, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect of fear of failure on the effect of adult attachment on interpersonal anxiety, it was found that fear of failure had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between adult attachment and interpersonal anxiety. This means that interpersonal anxiety is stronger when adult attachment affects fear of failure, and when fear of failure affects interpersonal anxiety, rather than adult attachment directly affects interpersonal anxiety.
Finally, based on the results of this study, the significance and limitations of this study, and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
