시각장애노인의 신체활동 참여에 영향을 미치는 요인: 2011 장애인실태조사를 바탕으로 = Factors Associated with Physical Activity Participation of Older Adults with Visual Impairment: Focused on 2011 Study on National Survey of the Disabled Person

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 시각장애노인의 신체활동 참여에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하여 신체활동 증진에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 2011 장애인 실태조사의 원시자료를 바탕으로 분석하였으며, 연구대상은 만 65세 이상 노인이면서 시각장애가 있는 장애노인으로 하였다. 자료분석은 교차분석과 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 유의도 수준은 p<.05로 설정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 시각장애노인의 신체활동 참여는 자녀가 있을 때(OR값=1.20, 95% CI=1.14-1.26), 차량을 소유하고 있을 때(OR값=1.34, 95% CI=1.31-1.37), 교통수단 이용이 어렵지 않을 때(OR값=2.10, 95% CI=2.06-2.13), 느끼는 소속계층이 하층일 때(OR값=1.49, 95% CI=1.46-1.53), 현재의 삶에 만족할 때(OR값=0.83, 95% CI=0.82-0.83), 최근 1년 동안 2주 이상 슬픔과 절망감 경험이 있을 때(OR값=1.79, 95% CI=1.73-1.84), 장애등급이 중도일 때(OR값=1.44, 95% CI=1.42-1.46), 현재 지속적인 진료를 받고 있을 때(OR값=1.33, 95% CI=1.29-1.37) 통계적으로 유의하게 영향을 미쳤다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 시각장애노인은 노인문제와 시각장애를 동시에 경험하는 독특한 특성으로 보호자의 역할이 중요하였다. 따라서 보호자에 대한 지원제도 마련과 보호자에게 신체활동의 인식을 전환시킬 수 있는 교육을 실시하여 시각장애노인의 신체활동 참여를 촉진시킬 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study was to provide basic data necessary for promoting physical activities by analyzing the factors influencing participation of the elderly with visual impairment in physical activities. For this, we conducted analysis based on 2011 study on national survey of the disabled person. The subjects were elderly aged over 65 with visual impairment. The data were analyzed by logistics regression analysis and significance level was p<.05. Participation of the elderly with visual impairment in physical activities was statistically significantly associated by presence of offspring, ownership of car, easiness in the use of transportation, perceptual lower hierarchical level of affiliated class, satisfaction with current life, experience of sorrow or despair persistent for more than 2 weeks over the recent 1 year, intermediate disability grade, and reception of continuous medical treatment. As a result, the role of guardians was found to be important for the elderly with visual impairment who tended to experience both elderly issues and visual impairment. Therefore, it would be necessary to promote participation of the elderly with visual impairment in physical activities through the implementation of education that can help shift awareness of guardians towards physical activities while establishing the measures to support guardians.
