There are three different wars, that is war with Southern Barbarians, Western Enemies, and Manchuria in Changpungwoon- cheon. These wars closely connected with the structure of Changpungwoon-cheon. After the first war, the Chang`s family is prosperous. And the second war connected with consolidation of the family and the last war is synthetic of these facts. Then, why was the war treated very important? The lowest class of Chosun society could not rise to high position by themselves after 18th century. Only the war could make them rapid rise to high positions. Changpungwoon stands for the lowest class of Chosun society. The first war guarantees the real circumstances of novels. Changpungwoon separated from his family because of first war and became a entertainer who is the lowest class of Chosun society, and after all he became a butler of Lee, Yungyung`s house. It was dream of the lowest class during the late Chosun dynasty. Changpungwoon confront with the emperor through the second war in Changpungwoon-cheon. It looked Changpungwoon went with systems of the Middle Ages. But the real situation was opposite of systems of Middle Ages. Changpungwoon confront with the emporer and won. It connoted serious criticism toward the Middle Ages and its ideology.
