Government Business Evaluation Framework Act enacted in April, 2006 is aimed at integrating multiple evaluation systems, enhancing self-evaluation of agencies, orienting to performance, and raising availability of evaluation results. This paper looks at evaluation system for Institute of Information Technology Assessment(ⅡTA) which is commissioned to manage Information and Communication Promotion Fund raised for research and development in information and communication technology. As one of non-departmental public bodies, ⅡTA has been under serious pressure by multiple evaluation systems performed by agencies including the Prime Minister Office(overall meta-evaluation), Ministry of Information and Communication(self-evaluation of fund-assisted R&D programs), Ministry of Science and Technology(meta-evaluation of R&D programs), and Ministry of Planning and Budget(management performance evaluation of public bodies). According to the analysis, ⅡTAs load of being evaluated is not still mitigated by the enactment of the Government Business Evaluation Framework Act. This problem will be able to be solved by mutual cooperation among agencies using information sharing system.
