농촌지역 결혼이주여성의 부모 됨을 통한 적응 경험 = A study on the Foreign Mothers` Adaptation through Parenthood Experiences in Rural Area

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to explore the adaptation through parenthood experiences of foreign immigrant mothers in rural area. By answering the question What is the essence on parental experiences of foreign mothers? phenomenological approach by Colaizzi used for data analysis. The data were collected through in-depth interview with 6 foreign mothers. As results, 6 categories appeared from 15 themes as data analysis. These categories were characterized as follows; ``Overwhelming fear``, ``Out of the flying pan, into the fire``, ``Endurance within unfamiliar country``, ``Difficulties caused by differing looks``, ``Burdening experiences from child-fostering``, ``Adaptation of true Korean parenthood``. Based on these findings, we have discussed the meaning of parental experiences of foreign mothers in Korean society and suggested effective social work intervention services.
