EQ 생활태도검사의 타당화 연구 = A Study for the validity of EQ Episode Test

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to validate EQ Episode Test available for Korean people on the basis of Mayer & Salovey's theory in which a vulnerable point of anteceded researches only emphasizing Intelligence Quotient as a human ability is recognized and corrected. This study is to understand the concept and theory of Emotional Intelligence in the movement of extension and change of traditional intelligence theory, and to investigate the test validity applied to real situation beyond self-report EQ test. EQ Episode Test, made up of 28 items, is developed based on Emotional Intelligence theory of Mayer and Salovey. Test results showed that it is reliable in the split-half reliability coefficient. In addition, these items are found to be the two factors of self regulation and others regulation. Discussions about the implications and limitations of the study follows. In conclusion, all the results are showing that the newly modified EQ Episode Test can be used as a credible tool for the measurement of korean people' EQ.
