이라크 걸프전사의 물류전략적 고찰 = Logistics Strategic Review on the History of Gulf War in Iraq

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to suggest the implication by reviewing on the history of Gulf War in Iraq in logistics strategic viewpoint. We analyzed general war status and logistic support operation in Gulf War through literature review. In addition, based on such literature review, this study induces the implication of logistics strategy and suggests the direction of improvement which Korea should aim for future war. In Gulf War, multinational forces applying ALB (Air Land Battle Doctrine) tactics ended the war with the victory. That is, multinational forces paralyzed central command & control function of Iraqi forces and neutralized the military operation ability of Iraqi forces by dominating air supremacy. Also, they blocked and scorched transportation routes which connects the front with the rear. As a result of research, we can verify that in Gulf War, the victory depended on enormous supplies and transportation capability. We can also verify that modern wars are ones of military supplies by advanced weapons and huge supplies. In addition, we can know that the victory at war and the rise & fall of the nation depend on the level of national power to implement the war of enormous supplies together with the emergence of advanced weapons.
