전문상담교사의 역할수행 및 처우에 대한 만족도 = The Level of satisfaction on role performance and working condition of school counselor

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 전문상담 교사들이 하고 있는 역할 수행 및 처우에 대한 만족도를 분석해 보고자 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기, 영남권, 호남권, 충청권, 강원도 및 제주도에 배치되어 있는 전문상담 교사 310명이었다. 연구의 결과는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 전문상담 교사의 역할에 대한 만족도에서는 역할의 전 영역에 걸쳐서 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 지역별로 분석해 본 결과, 의뢰 및 관리, 프로그램 개발 및 관리는 서울, 경기지역, 자기개발 및 연구활동 그리고 조정 역할은 강원도와 제주 그리고 행정 및 사무에서는 충청권이 만족도가 높았다. 또한 교육청에 소속된 전문순회상담교사들보다 학교에 있는 전문상담교사들이 전반적으로 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전문상담 교사들의 현실적 처우에 대한 만족도에서, 대부분의 전문상담 교사들이 전문성에 대한 존중과 근무 환경에 대해서 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed at exploring the level of satisfaction on role performance and working condition of school counselor. According to this purpose, the following hypothesis was set up. First, There would be meaningful differences on satisfaction about role performance of school counselor by the province and position of school counselor. Second, There would be meaningful differences on satisfaction about working condition of school counselor by the province and position of school counselor. To verify this hypothesis, 106 school counselors from the Provinces of Seoul, Gyeonggi, 111 school counselors from Yeongnam Province, 35 school conuselors from Chuncheong Province, and 24 school counselors from other Provinces (Gangwon, Jeju), with the total at 310 school counselors were selected. The tool for the investigation was the questionnaire (You Soon-haw, Ryu Nam-ae, 2006). For data analysis F, t and X2 verification was used with SPSSWIN(version 14.0). The findings of this study is as follows: First, overall satisfaction level of the counseling teachers was below average. And there were significant differences about role satisfaction level by the province and the type of school counselor. The difference of role satisfaction level by the province was especially in the area of referring and management, cooperation, self development, and program development. And regarding the satisfaction level with counseling works, school counseling teachers felt more satisfied than circuit school counselors of the Office of Education. Second, there were significant differences in satisfaction about working condition of school counselor by the province and position.of school counselor. The difference of satisfaction about working condition was especially in the area of people`s respect for their specialty and personnel administration, promotion, budget and pay.
