다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)
This thesis based on parent figure in Eileen Chang’s works, exposed the abnormal parent figure－ As parents, they treated their children in a selfish, hypocritical, weak or even vicious way. Her works reflected the complex of accusing the parents and afterwards analyzed the reasons that caused this. Finally, Eileen Chang clarified her deconstruction of parent figure does not deliberately exaggerate the turpitude of parents’ love, but to express that parents’ humanity has been distorted in that kind of era. It revealed the evil of the time and environment, the helplessness and desolation of people being fooled by the fortune.
