An Assessment of the Learning Styles of Undergraduate Students in a College of Agriculture

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 농과대학 학부생들이 선호하는 학습양식을 분석하는 데 있었다. 연구대상은 2003년 현재 서울대학교 농업생명과학대학에 재학하고 있는 3, 4학년 학생이었고, 총 770명의 학생 중 219명이 연구에 참여하였다. 이 연구는 설문조사를 통해 수행되었고, 사용된 조사도구는 Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT)(Witkin et al, 1971)였다. 배부된 설문지중 불성실 응답을 제외한 215부가 최종 분석에 사용되었다.농과대학 학부생 대부분은 장독립적인 학습양식을 선호하였고, 이러한 경향은 전공, 성별, 학년에 관계없이 동일하였다. 그러나 장독립성 정도에 있어서 전공별로 다소 차이가 있었는데 농산업교육, 산림자원 전공 학생들은 식품공학, 응용생물화학, 조경 전공 학생들보다 장독립성 정도가 상대적으로 높았다. 성별에 따른 장독립성 정도의 차이는 없었지만, 학년에 따라서는 차이가 있어, 3학년 학생이 4학년 학생보다 장독립성 정도가 상대적으로 높았다. 외국의 농과대학 학부생들의 학습양식 선행연구(Torres & Cano, 1994)와 비교해 볼 때, 농과대학 학부생들이 장독립적인 학습양식을 가지고 있으며, 특히 농(산)업교육 전공 학생들의 장독립성 정도가 농과대학내 다른 전공들보다 높은 것은 일치된 결과였다.
