이슬람과 기독교 신론 비교연구 = A Comparative Study on Doctrine of God in Islam and Christianity

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Though it is often argued that the Allah of Islam and the God of the Christianity are one and the same God. However throughout the paper, the researcher proved that this line of thinking must be rejected. Certainly there are similarities between Allah of Islam and that of the Christianity: Both are “one,” are transcendent, are creators of the universe, sovereign, omnipotent, have communicated through angels and prophets, and will eventually judge all humankind. But there are also differences between the two-differences that are so substantive as make impossible a common identity: 1)Whereas Allah of Quran is a radical unity, the God of the Christianity is a Trinity(one God eternally manifest in three persons. Matt.28:19). 2)Whereas Allah of the Quran cannot have a “Son,” the God of the Christianity has an eternal Son named Jesus Christ(John 3:16). 3) Whereas Allah of the Quran is not “spirit,” the God of the Christianity is spirit(John 4:24). 4)Whereas Allah of the Quran is wholly transcendent, the God of the Christianity is both transcendent and immanent(Deut. 4:39; Isaiah 57:15; Jeremiah 23:23-24). 5)Whereas Allah of Quran brings both good and evil, the God of the Christianity never engages in evil and is singularly righteous(1 John 1:5). 6) Whereas Allah of Quran is not Father(Sura 19:88-92, 112:3), the God of the Bible is(Matthew 6:9). 7) Whereas Allah of the Quran loves only those who love him and obey him, the God of the Christianity love all people, including all sinners(Luke 15:11024). 8) Whereas Allah desires to afflict people for their sins(Sura 5:49), the God of the Christianity is ’not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.(2 Peter 3:9) 9) Whereas Allah of Quran reveals only his laws and not himself, the God of the Christianity has revealed Himself from the beginning. 10) Whereas Allah of Quran has not objective basis for forgiving people, the God of the Christianity does have an objective basis-the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.
