CAI 適用에 의한 英語基礎學力에 미치는 效果

국문 초록 (Abstract)

CAI는 학습자가 자기 주도적으로 학습에 참여하여 수준별 성취도에 도달하는데 적합한 교수·학습모형으로 인정되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 영어학습에 흥미를 잃은 학생들에게 CAI로 교수·학습하여 영어기초학력의 변화를 보고자 한 것이다.
이러한 관점에서 본 프로그램은
1. CAI 교수-학습 방법이 기존의 수업방법보다 영어기초 학습자에게 보다 효과적인 것이라 판단되어 Flash5.0을 이용하여 학습 내용을 설계·구현하였다.
2. 학습내용을 학교 홈페이지에 탑재하여 그 것을 언제, 어디서, 누구나 학습 할 수 있도록 했으며, 수업시간 및 가정학습에 활용하였다. 학습내용은 Prounciation, Syntax, Verb, Dialogue, Test 로 나누어 개인교수 및 반복연습의 혼합유형으로 설계·구현 하였다.
3. CAI 적용 효과에 대한 검증 방법으로는 충청남도 교육청에서 개발한 기초·기본학력 평가도구로(2002. 03. 26) 임의반 과 실험반 두 반을 선정하여 결과 분석하였다.
이상의 연구 결과 CAI을 이용한 영어학습은 학생들의 기초영어 학력을 향상시키는데 효과적이었고<표1>, 특히 읽기 능력을 향상시키는데 매우 효과적이었다<표2>. 또한 CAI를 활용 수업에 대한 학습자의 인식 및 태도는 89.9%의 절대 다수 학생들이 “흥미있다”로 나타났다<표5>.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

CAI is recognized as a professor/study model suitable to make an academic accomplishment according to level by initiatively participating in learning. This research aims to observe the change made to the students with basic English academic ability who are lack of interest in studying English by applying CAI professor/study method.
The followings are the details of this program:
1. CAI professor/study method is considered to be more effective for those with the basic English academic ability than the existing learning method and Flash 5.0 has been used to plan and complete the study contents.
2. The study contents have been included on school homepage so that everyone can study the material whenever and wherever. It can be effectively used in school class as well as home study. The study contents are composed of pronunciation, syntax, verb, dialogue, and test realizing the mixed form of private professor and repetitive practice.
3. For the verification method of this research result, The Basic/Elementary Scholastic Test developed by Chungcheongnam-do Office of Education (March 26, 2002) has been used for analysis with the two selected classes of comparative group and experimental group.
As for the research result, English study using CAI has come out to be effective in improving the students basic English ability, especially in improving their writing skill. Also, the analysis result upon the overall awareness and attitude of the English learners using CAI has shown that generally, most of the students are satisfied and have a favorable impression on a class using CAI.
