1/5만 근대지형도에 수록된 山 지명의 특징과 활용의 문제점 - 일제강점기 인천․부천․시흥지역을 중심으로 - = Characteristics of Mountain Place Names included in 1:50,000 Modern Maps and Problems of use : Focusing on the Incheon, Bucheon, and Siheung areas during the Japanese colonial era

This study examines the geographical names of mountains located in Incheon, Bucheon, and Siheung through the 1/50,000 scale modern topographic maps produced by the Emperor of Japan in three stages (1895-1906, 1909-1916, 1910-1918), and examines the characteristics and characteristics of the geographical names.
We looked into the problems of use. As a result of reviewing the first to third topographic maps, first, it was found that the number of mountain place names was gradually increasing; second, it was found that new mountain place names were appearing with each generation of production; third, all mountain place names were Fourthly, the information is not accumulated and marked on the topographic map; fourthly, mountain place names are written using Chinese characters and katakana (カタカナ), but there is no consistency; fifthly, not all mountain place names are given even though the terrain is high, etc. And it was found. Next, in the problem section of utilizing mountain place names, it was first suggested that the place names included in 1/5th scale modern topographical maps are different and contain errors depending on the number of times they were produced, and the place names of Joseon in the late 19th century, as well as the geographies published by the Japanese emperor at the time, were presented. It was revealed that there is a difference. In addition, since the existing place name DB only contains first and third topographic map information, which limits research, it was suggested that a second topographic map DB should be constructed to solve this problem.
