지역간 이주, 경제활동참가, 직업훈련의 동시 의사선택에 관한 실증분석 = Simultaneous Decisions on Inter-regional Residental Movement, Labor Force Participation and Job Training Opportunities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Inter-regional move, labor force participation and occupational training are all considered as the investment for accumulating human capitals. We examine whether their decision processes are jointly made or not. By adopting suitable models such as bivariate and multivariate probit models, we analyze potential factors in Korean labor market that may affect the decisions of individual labor workers simultaneously.
Our statistical tests in the multivariate probit analysis indicate that the inter-regional move, labor force participation and occupational training are decided collectively for the individual Korean workers. Particularly, “inter-regional move and labor force participation” and “labor force participation and occupational training” are linked under the bivariate probit models. This fact needs to be fully incorporated when any suitable policy is implemented.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 개인의 지역간 이주와 경제활동참가 및 직업훈련의 의사선택이 어떠한 과정을 통하여 결정이 되는지를 알아보았다. 이러한 경제 의사선택은 모두 인적자본을 축적하는 투자로 정의할 수 있으므로 이러한 결정은 동시에 이루어질 가능성이 존재한다. 따라서 동시 결정성을 고려하기 위해 이변량 프로빗 혹은 다변량 프로빗 모형을 이용하여 이들 의사선택의 결정요인을 찾고 동시결정 여부를 알아보았다. 다변량 프로빗 모형을 이용하여 분석한 결과, 지역간 이주와 경제활동참가 및 직업훈련은 동시에 결정된다는 결론을 얻고 그 경제적인 의미에 대해 논한다.
