      1. Purpose of Study
      To contribute to the promotion of welfare for old people by enabling them to spend their leisure hours happily in sports activities.
      2. Ageing Process and Disease
      1) Ageing process is indicative of one's physical condition becoming poorer as one gets older be cause of gradully diminshing functional powers.
      2) Disease results in poor physical condition due to the failureof normal functioning ability.
      3. Effectiveness of Sports
      Sports can be a means of strengthening one's personal abilities by modifying and anjusting the body trough the intentional efforts of various physical activities.
      4. Results of Study
      1) Old people can contribute more to the strengthening of their physical and mental society welfare by eliminating stress and discontent, strengthening their bodies and improving their mental outlook through various physical activities.
      2) By carrying out moderate sports activities regularly, elderly people not only can only can improve their physical condition and build up better physical fitness, but also prevent mental and physical disease which will in turn lessen medical expense and reduce the incidence of death due to disease and will proloing healthly living.
