Recently, The korea construction industry is facing a crisis. An Alternative plan to overcome this is ensuring a competitiveness on the basis of technical development and cost down. By the needs of the times Korean National Housing Cooperation developed a Flat-DW structure system. This system can give various desires of a dweller satisfaction and give a boost to sale, and be cost down. This study aims at not only the time shortening through a resonable construction management planning but also ensuring structural stability of Flat-DW structure system in apartment building. This study did questionnaire for construction management methods of structure works and finish works and analyzed specifications for housing projects and korean concrete standards specifications, and korean architectural standards specifications. On the basis of analyzed results of questionnaire and specifications the basic work process of structure works for Flat-DW structure system is planned. Also, The critical path of finish works is set up. And, This study analyzed stability and economical efficiency of structure and economical effects by the time shortening for Flat-DW structure system. The main results of this study are as follow. The first, It has been analyzed that the structure works for the typical floor can be shorted 4-6 days per floor by systematic and reasonable work process planning within the boundaries of specifications. The second, It has been analyzed that the structure works for the typical floor can be shorted 8-8.5 days per floor by systematic and reasonable work process planning if any part of specifications changed. The third, The dry light wall have little effect on the time shortening of finish works. But the dry light wall have a good effect on the time shortening of structure works. The fourth, It has been analyzed that construction cost can be down by the time shortening. The fifth, This study has been suggested more the advanced one than the early Flat-DW structure system through changing position and size of columns & girders. Duration is very important in construction projects. Also It influenced construction cost and quality. So, An advanced countries have been focused their effort on reducing construction project cost through the time shortening. Since IMF, the domestic construction companies have been felt the necessity of the time shortening. So, They have been endeavored to do the time shortening, but they have a little effect. However, they have to continue their effort to do the time shortening. By doing this way, they will have a competitiveness through cost down and an improved construction management capacity. Also, It will make to accelerate technical and new material development.
