This study was planned to analyze demand of the students that electronic commerce education in commercial high school and to improve useful materials for the course's curriculum.
The analyzed group is students of commercial high school in Taejon. The group's need was in depth about electronic commerce education, by using the analysis of frequency, chi-square Analysis, t-verification, and one way Anova.
The results were : firstly, most students have experience of electronic commerce using the Internet. And their payment has been used by cash. Secondly the curriculum didn`t consider the level of each student and textbooks are made only for the theory. Various teaching method and software for education is lack. Thirdly, teacher who charges in electronic commerce is fewer than expected and there were many dissatisfactions of students in department of electronic commerce. Finally, the connection between schools and company were insufficient
Based on the results above, this study suggested following proposals.
Firstly it is urgent to give school more flexible self-control right and revise over all curriculum of electronic commerce considering the level of each students.
Secondly, teachers who majored in Electronic Commerce should be brought in, and they have to do their best to get a enough knowledge as a teacher, and more programs or opportunities for training them should be made. Thirdly, the commercial high schools and companies have to strengthen their ties by keeping their close relationship. finally the appropriate approaches such problems should be incorporated include step-by-step developments of the text books and multi-step teachings for the students in commercial high school who are comparatively poorly built in academic foundation, differentiate the students wishing to get jobs after graduating high school from the students to go to college, and provide the latter witch rather professional and basics-oriented education in collaboration with the community.
