환타지 발레 「바리」에 내재된 서사무가 (敍事巫歌) 「바리공주」의 여성 중심적 특징에 관한 연구 = Women`s perspectives of 「Princess Bary」, a narrative shaman song, represented in Fantastic Ballet 「Bary」

The purpose of this study is to examine the women`s perspectives of 「Princess Bar y」, which is one of the best known narrative shaman songs, represented in `Fantastic Ballet 「Bary」`. The following problems were proposed: first, how the women`s perspectives of 「Princess Bary」, a narrative shaman song, was featured; second, how these were represented in the `Fantastic Ballet 「Bary」`. The methodology for the study was to analyze the relevant written materials and the videotape, televised on KBS TV, in May 3, 1999, and to conduct interviews with the choreographer, Tae-ji Choi. This study exposes the following conclusions: first, the most severe trial for the women is a fear of losing her virginity by force; second, the filial piety of a daughter is practiced to find out her identity by recovering the father-daughter relation; third, only the `less-polluted` woman can save the established social structure, and also make a decision to be a shaman not wanting anything in the mundane life. These women`s perspectives of 「Princess Bary」, a narrative shaman song, was represented in the `Fantastic Ballet 「Bary」` by a woman choreographer, Tae-ji Choi, through reflecting her personal experiences and the point of views.
