韓國人의 腦波津動의 成熟過程Ⅲ : 開眼·閉眼이 後頭部津動에 미치는 影響 年齡別差異 THE RESPONSES TO THE EYE-OPENING AND CLOSURE ON THE OCCIPITAL DOMINANT RRYTHM ACCORDING TO THE AGE DIFFERENCE = THE MATURATIONAL PROCESS OF EEG RHYTHM OF KOREAN(Ⅲ)

"Clear blocking of alpha" can descern cortical blindness and simulated blindness on the spot, but this valuable finding is almost ignored in recent researches.
This is the third preliminary study of electrographic maturation with age in the E.E.G. rhythms of Koreans, dealing particularly with the response to eye opening and eye closure.
Electroencephalographic records and clinical data of 149 cases were analyzed. All of the cases had undergone electroencephalographic examinations for routine check at Seoul National University, Hospital, Electroencephalography Laboratory during the recent 9 years (1964-1972).
The results are summerized as follows:
(1) In the 4-6 age group blockings of occipital dominant rhythms were partial, incomplete or asymmetrical.
(2) Starting from the age of 9, the blockings became nearly complete and symmetrical.
(3) The above matured response continuted to the age of 46 at the shortest.
(4) In this study, there was no "P-type" alpha.
