    Carried out comparative analysis of the program and the themes of scientific researches of port economy condition shows the common problems which exist in both Russia and peace port economies. But in the economics of the transition period the complex of the port economy problems in Russia (including the Far East) is much more greater and complicated. These problems are not only technical but administrative, judicial and economic ones. As the world experience of solving different tasks connected with port economy shows of all interested organizations (government, different ministries, departments, port administrations) are necessary in researches coordination.
