다문화가정 방문자녀생활서비스 운영 결과에 대한 분석적 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Our society is in the course of rapid change from traditional homogeneous society into multicultural society due to a change in domestic labor market, increase of international marriage and of immigration of foreigners. Above all, the increase of international marriage brought about growth of multicultural family, which results in serious problems of education for children of multicultural family. Therefore, Ministry of Gender Equality & Family established 212 Multicultural Family Support Centers nationwide, and Home Guidance Counseling Service aims at children of multicultural family and immigrated children.
Children of school age of multicultural family have difficulty at school in terms of emotional and communicational aspects. They show the problems of language compared to their peers because of immature linguistic development at home, which stemed from the fact that there was simple daily communication with mothers with poor Korean language in infancy. As a result, they fall into confusion of learning language and of forming identity, and process of forming interpersonal relation is different from that of peer group. Especially, their proper language acquisition is hindered by their bilingual parents. In addition, lower grade children would have delay of language acquisition and difficulty in smooth communication at school. Up to now, most researches include not only actual condition survey on international marriage immigrants but on policy plan for multi-culture, and developing teaching material and syllabus for international marriage immigrants.
However, this research aims to solve the problem of service by analyzing result of home guidance counseling and to suggest progressive activity. It would be somewhat helpful for management of home guidance counseling service in the future.
