올바른 정체성 형성을 위한 신화 식별 방법론 고찰|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

개인의 정체성은 자기 이해를 돕고 삶의 기준과 방향을 결정하는 중요한 심리내적 요인이 된다. 그러나 현대에 접어들면서 정체성 형성에 영향을 주는 많은 요인 가운데, 긍정적인 영향을 끼치는 것도 있지만, 어떤 요인들은 혼란과 갈등을 비롯하여 부정적 영향을 끼치는 것도 있다. 신화는 전통적으로 전해져 오면서 개인 뿐 아니라 집단, 문화의 정체성 형성에 중요한 영향력을 끼치는 요인이다. 동시에 기존의 신화 뿐 아니라 지속적으로 발생하는 새로운 신화의 홍수 속에서, 우리의 정체성 형성에 긍정적이고 필요한 신화를 받아들이기보다는 사회적인 환경과 체계안에서의 강요로 인해 억지로 주입되는 신화를 받아들이는 현상도 증가하고 있다. 따라서 우리는 신화가 어떻게 발생하고 그것이 우리의 정체성 형성에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 인식하면서, 적절한 신화 선택의 방법론을 고찰해야 할 시점에 와 있다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 체계적 접근과 정체성, 신화와의 관계성을 토대로 신화 식별 방법론(meta-myth-discriminance)의 필요성과 그 내용을 고찰해보고자 한다.

A person’s identity is a critical internal factor that helps self-understanding and determines one’s direction of life. In the current era, out of many factors that affect one’ s identity development, some are positive, but others are negative. Mythology is one of the factors that critically affects an individual identity as well as a group and its culture. At the same time, among the array of constantly emerging myths added to existing myths, people tend to accept myths that are impressed and mandated by the social environment and system, rather than accepting the positive and necessary myths. Thus, it is important to recognize how myths emerge and how it affects people, and develop a method to selectively accept appropriate myths. For this purpose, this study takes a systematic approach to identity and its relevance to myths through the method of meta-mythdiscriminance.
