This article analyzes the flood caused by Gyeongju basin surrounded by Bukcheon, Namcheon, and Seocheon and its measurement measures. In this process, the historical location of Balcheon, which flowed north of Wolseong Fortress, was to be explained. The embankment, built in the 5th century in preparation for flooding, was an irrigation facility called Bo, which controlled the flow of rivers. Through this, royal tombs, fortresses, and temples, which are monuments of the Silla royal court, were constructed. When Hwangnyongsa Temple was established in the 6th century, it was in charge of drainage in the center of Gyeongju. In Wanggyeong, the capital of Silla, huge contrast materials such as fortresses and temples were built and agricultural land was expanded, leading to the era of great development.
