티몬․위메프 사태의 재무관리적 분석: 유동성 관리 실패와 도덕적 해이 = Liquidity Management Failures and Moral Hazard: A Case Study of the Timon․WeMakePrice Crisis

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 최근 이커머스 업계에서 발생한 대규모 미정산 사태인 티몬․위메프 사건을 재무관리적 관점에서 분석하고 그 대책을 모색한다. 본 사태의 주요 원인으로 유동성 관리 실패와 경영진의 도덕적 해이를 제시한다. 이러한 문제는 이커머스 업계만의 특수한 문제가 아니기 때문에 대책의 마련에 있어 이커머스 업계 전반에 대한 규제 강화보다는 재무관리적 접근이 효율적일 것임을 강조한다. 유동성 관리 실패로 인한 피해 확산 및 도덕적 해이 문제를 방지하기 위한 대책을 제안하나, 규제는 재무 건정성이 취약한 곳에 집중할 것을 권장한다. 본 연구는 이커머스 업계의 신뢰성 확보를 위한 규제가 필요할 수 있으나 업계의 혁신을 저해하지 않는 유연한 경영 환경 마련의 필요성을 강조하며, 해외 기반 이커머스 기업에 대한 법적 책임 문제에도 주의를 기울여야 함을 지적한다.
