      The purpose of this study was to investigation the effects of combined exercise on self-reliance physical fitness in elderly women with obesity. A total of 20 obese elderly women (% fat >30%) were divided into control (n=10) and exercise (n=10) groups. The 12-weeks exercise intervention consisted of 3 days of combined exercise per week. Each 45 to 60-minutes exercise programme and 10 minutes of warm-up and 10 minutes of cool-down. The results of this study showed that combined exercise improves body composition such as body weight and % fat and self-reliance physical fitness such as muscle strength in obese elderly women. Therefore, these data demonstrated that combined exercise programmed may be represent an effective intervention strategy for improving quality of life in obese elderly women.
