교육 목적으로서 “일반 능력” 설정에 대한 논의 고찰: 2015 개정 교육과정의 핵심역량과 교과 역량의 관계에 주는 함의 = A Study of the Arguments Related to General Capacities as an Educational Aim: Implications for the Relationship Between Key Competency and Subject Competency in the 2015 Revised Curriculum

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to analyze the theoretical arguments related to general capacities as an educational aim and to derive implications for the relationship between key competency and subject competency in the 2015 Revised Curriculum. J. Dewey and P. H. Hirst provide arguments against establishing an educational aim with several general capacities, while E. Vallance suggests some positive prospects related to establishing such an educational aim. In analyzing these two conflicting opinions, it becomes clear that there are two ways in which to articulate the relationship between key competency and subject competency, namely by including or excluding the assumption of disciplinary subject division. If the latter method is accepted, it might be meaningless to establish subject competencies as separate from key competencies. Although it seems that the 2015 Revised Curriculum has adopted the first option, more theoretical arguments are needed concerning whether and on what grounds this is the case. More importantly, we need to develop theoretical discussion that is consecutively concerned with how to improve the national curriculum based on key competencies in the future.
