벤처기술투자에 있어 기술사업화역량이 기술사업화성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 = (The) empirical study on causal relationship between technology commercialization capability and performance in venture technology investment

Technology evaluation is a process of deciding technology value and technology commercialization is a process of converting R&D results into economic outcomes. It is very important to apply technology evaluation appropriately on technology commercialization in order to have a meaningful contribution to the economy.
While most technology evaluations focus on the result of technological developments or technological competitiveness of fully commercialized firms, this study focused on verifying reliability of an evaluation index using a study model that analyzes the relationship between the technology evaluation index used for R&BD venture investment and the performance of its technology commercialization.
According to the result of this empirical study, technology commercialization capability was significant to technology commercialization success, technology management ability and commercializing possibility were very significant to technology commercialization success. Especially, the results of logistical analysis show that the fractionation accuracy is 83%, suggesting that it is meaningful. It has also shown that the higher the technology commercialization capability calculated through technology evaluation process, the more successful were technology commercializations. And R&BD projects can analyze the influential factors that commercialize the technological achievements. Moreover, it helps to predict and establish technology commercialization capability evaluation index appropriate for each factors.
The result of this empirical study will contribute highly in increasing the practical use of technology evaluation index for technology venture investment.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

기술평가는 기술의 가치를 결정하는 과정이며 기술사업화는 연구개발의 결과물을 최종 경제적성과로 전환하는 것으로서, 연구개발 활동의 경제적 기여를 위해 기술사업화에 대한 적정한 기술평가를 실시하는 것은 매우 중요하다.
대부분의 기술평가가 기술개발 결과 또는 정상기업의 기술경쟁력 분석에 초점을 두고 있는 반면에 본 연구에서는 중소벤처기업의 R&BD 벤처기술투자용으로 사용한 기술사업화역량 평가지표와 기술사업화성과간의 관계를 분석하기 위한 연구모형을 통하여 통계적 유의성을 검증하여 신뢰성을 평가하였다.
분석결과 기술사업화역량이 높을수록 기술사업화 성공률이 높은 것을 알 수 있었으며, 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과 분류정확도가 83%로 나타났다. 또한 기술적성과인 특허에는 업력만이, 경제적성과로서 매출액에서는 기술경영능력과 CEO 엔지니어 여부, 영업이익에서는 업종이 영향을 주고 있다.
기술사업화역량 평가지표와 기술사업화 성과간의 본 연구결과는 중소벤처기업의 기술사업화와 관련된 기술벤처투자 취급 시 기술평가지표의 활용도를 높이는데 크게 기여할 것이다.
