‘ACTS 신학-신앙운동’에 대한 신학적 고찰과 제언: 복음과 문화의 관계를 중심으로 = Theological Reflections and Proposals on the ACTS Theology-Faith Movement: Focusing on the Relation between the Gospel and Culture

ACTS(Asian Center for Theological Studies and Mission, 아신대학교)는 ‘국제적, 복음주의적, 교회연합적’ 성격을 지닌 대학으로서 지난 49년 동안 아시아와 세계 복음화에 기여해왔다. ACTS의 목적과 정체성은 무엇보다‘ACTS 신학-신앙운동’에 의해 체계적이고 역동적으로 구현되어 왔다.
‘ACTS 신학-신앙운동’의 목적과 내용은 2015년 발표된 ‘ACTS 신학공관’(Theological Synoptic Movement) 선언문에 ‘기독교 중심진리 운동’, ‘바른 신학 운동’, ‘참 신앙인 양육 운동’, ‘교회 연합 운동’, ‘교회 회복 운동’으로 기술되어 있다.
본 연구는 희년을 앞둔 ACTS 신학의 발전을 위해 ‘ACTS 신학-신앙 운동’을 신학적으로 고찰하고 평가하여 운동의 장점과 기여 그리고 한계와 보완점을 발견하고 제시한다. 이를 위해 논문은 먼저 ‘ACTS 신학-신앙운동’의 역사적 배경을 간략하게 서술할 것이고, 이어서 운동의 신학적내용과 의의를 서술할 것이다. 끝으로 운동의 과거와 현재와 미래를 평가하되, 특별히 미래를 위한 제언에 초점을 둘 것이다. 이 과정에서 논문은‘ACTS 신학-신앙운동’과 복음주의 신학(evangelical theology)을 비교하고 신학적 보완점을 ‘복음과 문화의 관계’와 관련하여 도출할 것이다. 이와 같은 신학적 고찰과 제언을 통해 논문은 ‘ACTS 신학-신앙운동’이 성경적이며 복음주의적 특징을 지닌 건강한 운동임을 드러낼 것이며 동시에 실천적 측면을 보완하여 더욱 발전될 수 있음을 주장할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

ACTS(Asian Center for Theological Studies and Mission, ACTS University), an ‘international, evangelical, ecumenical’ university, has contributed to the evangelization of Asia and the world for the past 49 years. The purpose and identity of ACTS has been embodied in a structured and dynamic way by the ACTS theology-faith movement. Importantly, the purpose and content of the movement are described in the ACTS theological synoptic movement manifesto issued in 2015 as the central truth of Christianity movement, the right theology movement, the nurturing true believers movement, the church unity movement, and the church restoration movement.
This paper examines and evaluates the ACTS theology-faith movement from a theological perspective in order to discover and present its strengths and contributes, along with its limitations and deficiencies, for the development of the ACTS theology in preparation for the jubilee. To this end, the paper will first briefly outline the historical background of the ACTS theology-faith movement, then expound the theological content and significance of the movement, and finally evaluate the past, present, and future of the movement, with a particular focus on proposals for the future. In this process, the paper will compare the ACTS theologyfaith movement with evangelical theology, drawing out theological complements with regard to the relation between the gospel and culture.
Through the theological reflections and proposals, the paper will reveal and argue that the ACTS theology-faith movement is a sound movement with biblical and evangelical characteristics, yet it can be further developed by expanding its practical dimensions.
